As part of an ongoing major redevelopment at south Tyneside district hospital , CATC COMPLIANCE were appointed as the licensed Asbestos removal contractor on both the former nurses’ quarters and doctors’ residence.
Scope of works to enable safe reoccupation was environmental clean of heavily (Asbestos & pigeon guano) contaminated loft spaces and floor ducts, removal of Asbestos lagging to pipework’s throughout and recleaning of all brick works chimney stacks and timber roof structures.
Confined space training was provided to all staff involved with enclosure entrants / external guardians and the project was managed under daily atmospheric testing and permit to work systems.
The project totalling 16 weeks was transmitted to the highest industry standards with strict audit systems and monitoring of the works throughout.
